Writing short films about monsters, that's what. Look out for his cameo as a journalist about 3 minutes in. |

Blimey!
I couldn't see the video - Vimeo seems to be having a bad day. Followed the link to Turnbull's blog though, and was amazed by how he's suddenly got a more relaxed, confident and youthful writing style. It's like a completely different person.
Perhaps he's happier these days. I wonder if he escaped the cult? If so, good luck to him! Perhaps he got too poor for them to give a shit. |

No religious nuttery, then? Surprising, given the last few months of Acorn User. |

I wonder if he escaped the cult? If so, good luck to him! It´s more an obsession than a cult, really, don´t you think? |

It's more an obsession than a cult, really, don't you think? No, it's a cult by any reasonable definition. Whether a member is obsessed or not is a separate issue. |

No religious nuttery, then? Surprising, given the last few months of Acorn User. What pisses me off is that me, being young and naive at the time, didn't realise that by buying Acorn User at that point, I was indirectly funding Scientology.
Makes me ill. |

Whether a member is obsessed or not is a separate issue. Quite. |

We are both talking about RISC OS, aren´t we? Sorry for the misunderstanding, Simon - I should have been clearer. |

We are both talking about RISC OS, aren´t we? No, no you're not. Comically, I genuinely thought you were. |

I did wonder if you were, but I never knew AU in its heyday and didn't know who Steve Turnbull was or what he was supposed to have done when I saw the thread title. |

Same here. I thought it was RISC OS all along.
Seeing that it was Scientology (or, as anon would say, "the scifags,") though... and then googling for the link between RISC OS and Scientology... wait, RISC OS *ITSELF* almost being bought by the Co$? |
